Kid’s Easter Basket Ideas

There are so many fun kid’s Easter basket ideas! This year I went shopping at World Market for some fantastic supplies and am going to show you how I made Easter baskets for my kids.

Kid's Easter Basket Ideas

Here is the trio of Easter baskets I assembled! Aren’t they fun? My kids are going to be so excited to receive them! Each basket includes candy, soda pop, a non-edible item and they are topped with pinwheels. I am wishing I would’ve put one together for me and Brian as well but I am thinking that the kids will share because these baskets are overflowing with treats!

World Market Easter

March is a really busy month for us especially the last couple of weekends of the month, right before Easter. So, I got my kid’s Easter baskets done early. I went shopping at World Market for the baskets and everything to fill them. I love shopping at World Market and was even there for the grand opening! Right when I walked in the door, I was greeted by the bright, cheerful Easter display. Baskets came first, followed by candy, toys, home decor and baking supplies. I loved all of it and had to make a couple of trips around the displays just looking at everything before I even started choosing items! While wandering the store we saw some really cute wall hangings, furniture and items that would look great on my mantel but I kept reminding myself that I had to concentrate on Easter baskets this time.

World Market Easter Candy

I laid everything out on the table at home and slowly added a few items before snapping another picture so that you can see everything that will be in the baskets.  There is Cotton Candy Swirls, Blue Pop, chocolate eggs, Milka Lil’ Scoops, Easter pretzels, Pop Rocks, clay, Haribo gummy bunnies, Double Bubble gum eggs, Porky Poopers, Bunny Lip Pops, Big League Chew, cupcake popcorn, Lindt bunnies, and Zotz. Christine was shopping with me and helped me pick everything out.

Lindt Chocolate Gold Easter

I think the Lindt Gold Bunnies are my favorite items. They are so cute! I wonder if one of the kids would notice is their chocolate bunny was missing?

Bag Treats

I separated the cupcake popcorn and Easter pretzels into smaller bags and tied them closed with baker’s twine.

Scarves for spring

The girls each got a beautiful scarf and since I didn’t think Zack would have much use for a scarf, I bought him a voice changing toy.

Aqua Easter Basket

The baskets I purchased were $4.99 each and they came with raffia, a gift tag and a cello bag for wrapping the basket!

Fill Easter Basket

After adding the raffia grass to the baskets, I slowly added all the goodies starting with the biggest items. The scarves were rolled up tight and smaller treats were tucked here and there.

Easter Baskets Ideas

I am delighted with how they turned out and I love how they look so cheerful for spring! The blue basket is for Vanessa because that is her favorite color. The white basket without a handle is for Christine because she wants it for storage in her room. And green basket is for Zack who won’t care about the basket at all and start eating the candy immediately. It is going to be hard to resist giving them the baskets early!

LOL! That is funny Shannah! Easter is tricky though because in 2011 it wasn’t until Sunday April 24th!

They look so great Tonia. I’m going to do something similar I think with the kids. We usually use a basket to store things but yours look really great.

Thanks Anne! We store a lot of things in baskets too. It is a bit harder using the ones with handles for storage but I could probably take the handles off when they are done!

So I literally bought all of my Easter basket stuff at World Market last year – they have so much cute stuff! I went a little nuts and it was a wee bit pricey – yours looks much more affordable!

Um, can I be one of your kids during the Easter holiday?? These looks so AWESOME! I didn’t have intentions on doing my Easter basket shopping at World Market, but I’m totally thinking they are going to be #1 on my list.
