Felt Bacon and Eggs are easy to make and are the perfect addition to a play kitchen. The tutorial includes a free printable pattern.

Little kids love playing house and making delicious pretend meals in their mini kitchens. It’s even more fun when they have felt food to cook up.

Today I’m excited to share how to make Felt Bacon and Eggs!

eggs outline drawn on felt
First, trace and cut out as many eggs as you want from white felt. Each egg needs 2 pieces cut out. So if you want 3 eggs, cut out 6 egg pieces. One for the front and one for the back.
Next, trace and cut out the stuffing.  Each egg only needs one (I used a felted wool sweater but fleece, or batting would work too).
egg yolk drawn on felt
Trace and cut out 1 yolk for each egg from goldenrod felt.
yolk sewn on egg white
Sew one yolk on half of the eggs with matching goldenrod thread.
assembling felt egg
Stack one egg piece with a yolk, stuffing, and one egg piece without a yolk.
felt eggs
Sew around the edge of the egg with white thread.  Trim the eggs edges to even things out.
bacon outline drawn on felt
Trace and cut out the desired number of bacon strips from brown felt.
cutout felt bacon pieces
Cut out 2 thin strips of brown felt (about 1/4 in wide and 5 in long) for each strip of bacon.
gluing felt bacon
Run 2 thin lines of tacky glue along the bacon strip and attach the tan strips.  If the tan strips are too long, just cut off the extra.
felt bacon strips
Finished bacon…yum…I mean…CUTE!
